I might also add that the Montessori Network of New Mexico has been working closely with lawmakers to recognize Montessori schools and educators making this shift to Universal Childcare a real possibility for schools working to align accessible care with high fidelity Montessori. This new legislation has not been a smooth nor easy process for most Montessori schools yet with focused advocacy representing our state’s Montessori communities, we’re making headway and hopefully a beacon for the rest of the nation. We’re on our way!
