Primary Lead Teacher in Los Angeles, California

Valley Village Montessori School is a small, private, non-profit Montessori school in Los Angeles that was established in 2015. Valley Village Montessori is seeking a loving and passionate Montessorian to lead (or co-lead) one of our Primary Early Childhood (3-6) classrooms. The position may start in July or August of 2021 and will initially be a classroom of 14 students working alongside an assistant teacher. Candidate may choose to be full-time or part-time.

• Teacher Qualifications: experience working with preschool-aged children, has 12 ECE units minimum and holds a Montessori Early Childhood credential from a MACTE or AMS accredited training center.

• Duties will include: Setting up, cleaning and maintaining the learning environment; Supervising children and attending to their physical and emotional safety; Observing children and guiding when needed with appropriate Montessori materials; Participating in all staff meetings and school-wide events; Maintaining positive relationships with teachers, parents and students; Maintaining an approved record-keeping system for all students in care.

We have modified our program based on state and local guidelines for best practices to ensure a safer environment for our students and staff during COVID19.
