Organization: The San Antonio Independent School District schools, Cleto L Rodriguez Montessori Elementary School and Laura Steele Montessori Academy, in San Antonio, Texas, are seeking candidates  to build strong Montessori programs for these communities. Position Overview:

We are seeking passionate and Montessori-trained educators to join our dynamic team within the Network of these two schools. As a Montessori Trained Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing a rich, student-centered learning experience that aligns with the Montessori philosophy while meeting public education standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and facilitate Montessori principles and practices in the classroom, ensuring a child-centered and hands-on learning environment.

  • Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.

  • Foster a classroom culture of respect, independence, and collaboration among students, creating a positive and inclusive learning community.

  • Utilize Montessori materials and methods to support the individualized learning journey of each student.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administrators to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.

  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

  • Integrate the Montessori cosmic curriculum, emphasizing interdisciplinary connections and real-world applications.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on Montessori education best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Montessori certification from a MACTE accredited Montessori training program (or a willingness to obtain certification through an 18 month program offered by the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS). 

  • Texas state teaching certification or eligibility for state certification and a willingness to secure a state certification and license.

  • Previous experience teaching in a Montessori environment is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administrators.

  • Passion for creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that nurtures the holistic development of each child.
