Job description: Learning Specialist (Full-time or Part-time)
Located in the heart of Cambridge, MA, Cambridge Montessori School is a coeducational independent day school currently enrolling students from toddler through grade eight. Cambridge Montessori School is seeking a full-time or part-time learning specialist/tutor to work with students during school hours. The learning specialist is responsible for supporting the needs of those students requiring supplemental academic instruction for mild to moderate learning needs. Additionally, the specialist will work closely with classroom teachers and families to communicate progress. The learning specialist will provide support via one on one and small group instruction. This specialist would support students and teachers in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Experience using Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Foundations or other multi-sensory approaches to reading, spelling and writing instruction is preferred.
Skilled at hands-on math instruction; knowledge of Montessori math is a plus

CORI/SORI check will be required before joining our team.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required (official medical or religious exemption accepted).
This position is for the 2022-2023 academic year, September through June. Salary is based on experience and background. The candidate does not need to be Montessori trained. The school offers a competitive benefits package. We are seeking a long-term commitment to the school.
Professional Development and Training
CPR certification training will be provided to all new staff who do not have existing and/or current certification
