Early Childhood Guide in Middletown, New York

PRIMARY LEAD TEACHER

Hudson Valley Montessori School is opening this August, and is looking for an experienced, certified Primary/Early Childhood Guide to join us in July 2022. Learn more about our school at www.hvmontessori.org.

The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and work well in a team. The Primary Guide is responsible for the implementation of daily classroom activities, collaborating with other teachers and administrators, preparation of the environment, observation and timely record keeping, planning and presenting lessons to individual children or a small group of children, maintaining a beautiful environment, creating a calm, peaceful classroom, and conducting parent/teacher conferences.

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree, preferably in Education
AMS, AMI, IMC or other MACTE-accredited certification for Primary/Early Childhood
Previous Montessori Lead classroom teaching experience is required
Pass all background checks

The position is full-time. We are a 3-12 program that follows an innovative Monday-Thursday school week, August through June—the only one of its kind in New York State. Our benefits package includes Professional Development, enrollment preference to HVMS, tuition discount, generous PTO (Fall, Winter and Spring breaks, holidays and additional days), and 3-day weekends, every week. Salary is $40K+; offer is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
