Description
A well-established private Montessori school in the Salt Lake City area seeks highly motivated individuals to join our community. MACTE Infant/Toddler Teacher certificate required. Teacher training programs may be available for qualified candidates. Multiple positions may be available.

Hours: Full-Time

Pay: Varies depending on education, experience and credentials

Duties Include:
Prepare and maintain safe, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning environments
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons appropriate for the range of students served
Maintain all documentation as required by the school and observe and evaluate each student’s performance and development in school’s record keeping system
Prepare progress reports and lead parent teacher conferences
Supervising recess or gym time
Driving school vehicles

School:
Montessori Community School of Salt Lake City is a private school that has been operating since 1985. The school has a maximum enrollment of approximately 220 students in the academic session and about half the enrollment in the summer. It is located near Foothill and 1700 South and staff hours are between 7:45 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The mission of the school is to provide an authentic Montessori experience that nurtures the natural unfolding of the whole individual, instill a love of learning, encourage acts of peace, and empower all. Requirements
Pass a background check with Child Care Licensing (steps will be provided by the school during onboarding)
Motor Vehicle Report will be obtained and submission of a valid driver’s license will be required
Candidates will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon hire (reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law)
Must be able to lift a child of up to 55 pounds
Meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e. squatting, sitting, or kneeling on the floor when necessary for assisting students or maintaining the environment)

Education:

B.A./B.S. from an accredited institution
Montessori teaching credential from a MACTE recognized teacher training program
Fulfill annual professional development and performance review requirements
Maintain teaching skills and participate in professional development activities
