New Course: Montessori Fundamentals for Spanish Speakers

October 1, 2024 by Rachel Kincaid Leave a Comment

“We are really happy to offer Fundamentos Montessori this October. This is a truly unique course, as it has the great mission of expanding the reach of Montessori education, making it more accessible to the Spanish-speaking community.

“Participants will find in Fundamentos Montessori the opportunity to bring Montessori to Spanish-speaking communities, truly taking away a great treasure, because in just 10 weeks the course gives them many tools to understand Montessori, know the needs of children and guide them in their development.

“The most valuable aspect about Fundamentos Montessori is that Dr. Montessori’s philosophy is presented with such a clear purpose, that the course is a great inspiration for those of us who love early childhood.” Eugenia Acuña, Fundamentos Montessori Course Guide

What is the cost? The cost of the course is $425 USD. Participants can pay by credit card, check by mail or bank transfer.

What days and times will the course be taught? The course is completely online with a group and a guide reading and discussing Montessori topics each week for 10 weeks. There is a virtual meeting each week as well which is optional. Each week, there are new readings, videos, and open assignments. Participants have until the end of each week to complete the assignments, and at the end of the ten weeks, they have two more weeks to complete each assignment, or to enjoy the videos again. Each week there are approximately five hours of work.

Will participants receive a certificate? Yes, upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of 50 hours of participation. Most counties and schools in the United States accept these certificates, but participants need to ask their school administration and perhaps their county administrators or department of education if this certificate will be accepted. It is not a diploma certificate.

How do I register for the course? Interested participants must submit the application form before the first day of the course.
