IMC’s annual conference

This year’s IMC international conference took place in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida.  CGMS faculty took part in the event, many attending the workshops and roundtables, and others as presenters of sessions.  

Those attending the conference also had the special opportunity to watch a live presentation of Words that made the difference: BROWN vs the BOARD OF EDUCATION, Playwright and Director Cindy Acker.  This important production portrays the landmark case that stripped away constitutional sanctions for segregation by race, and made equal opportunity in education the law of the land.

The CGMS leadership team had the first in-person get together in a few years!  The administrative team, directors and support staff participated in a two day get together that included time to renew and refresh, time to talk face-to-face to those that usually communicate virtually, and a full day team meeting led by the very inspiring Kitty Bravo, Director of Education.” -Ellyn Lastinger, CGMS
