I served as an intern at Cincinnati Country Day School the year after Paula Polk Lillard left the school. As a student of Hilda Rothschild at Xavier University, I can attest to Ms. Lillard’s estimation of Hilda as a gifted Montessori teacher for children and adults. I will be forever grateful for the time I spent with her, and the lessons I learned.

I can also say Paula Polk Lillard has been a valuable influence in my 50+ years of Montessori work. My copy/ies (I’ve had many) of Montessori, A Modern Approach is now being held together by rubber bands!
