Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Montessori Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Montessori Primary Certification. The teacher will be responsible for collaboratively creating and maintaining a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3-6 years, facilitating their holistic development in line with Montessori principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as Lead Teacher to collaboratively plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Montessori lessons and activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress, providing individualized support to meet their unique needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence, respect, and a love of learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to support each child’s development and address any concerns.
- Maintain classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Montessori education and early childhood development.
- Adhere to school policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Montessori certification from an accredited Montessori training center (AMS, AMI, or equivalent (preferred – must be willing to begin this process).
- Experience working with children in a Montessori setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
