Eli Bennett and Olivia Ediriweera, two year 13 students from Wa Ora Montessori school saw countless species in Aotearoa that are on the brink of extinction with no awareness or attention being brought to them. 

Carolyn Kambich, founder of the North Shore Montessori Schools (Deerfield, Glenview/Northfield, and Riverwoods) was presented the 2021 F.R. Geigle Service Award in a ceremony at Northern Illinois University. 

The 11-week course includes approximately 8 hours of coursework each week including video viewing of Montessori lectures and lessons, online discussion forums, observation and or other practical assignments to put what you are learning in practice, journaling, and a 1 hour live video class in zoom each week.

Students collected 200 toothbrushes and 200 packs of Post-It notes to be used in gift bags for residents of Lakeview Senior Center, which is located next door to the school. 

Kids Art Box was created by Melanie Phillips, a mom of three boys who are seven, five and two years old. A former engineer from France, Ms. Phillips started making art activities with her children as a hobby, but it quickly turned into a business.

Michelle Morrison, head of Princeton Montessori School (PMonts), has committed the school to an even stronger focus on environmental sustainability in the coming years with the installation of a solar array and other eco-friendly initiatives.
