Preschool Administrative Director
Mandala Children’s House is a Non-profit Montessori Preschool with California Dept. of Social Services (CDSS) Contract
We are a long-standing non-profit Montessori preschool program located in the east foothills of San Jose, CA. We are dedicated to teaching the whole child while also supporting our families and staff. We serve a diverse population including low-income children.
We seek a warm and personable Preschool Director who is skilled at supportive leadership, collaboration, and community building. We have a strong staff culture that values respect, teamwork, and mutual care and support.
Our mission statement is: “Nurture the Child. Support the Family. Nourish the Staff.” We will soon celebrate our 50th Anniversary. We are seeking a candidate who will align with these values and help us carry the mission of our school forward.
We’re looking for:

∙ Comfortable relating to parents
∙ Strong verbal and written communication skills
∙ BA Degree in Child Development or related subject
∙ Teaching Credential or Master’s Degree in Education or Educational Administration (or related field)
∙ Program Director Permit
∙ Montessori experience
∙ Experience in the early childhood field
Responsibilities include:
∙ Support and model the school’s mission, philosophy, and values
∙ Provide administrative guidance and vision
∙ Oversee the entire preschool program
∙ Foster teamwork in the teaching and administrative staff
∙ Manage enrollment, registration, admissions, and orientation
∙ Support and supervise staff to encourage self-growth
∙ Build community with families
∙ Collaborate with Bookkeeper on budget, salaries, human resources, and finance
∙ Collaborate with Childcare Program Manager on our CDSS contract program
∙ Collaborate with Board of Directors in leadership of the school
35-40 hours/week M-F
Position starting pay $75-85,000 year with Benefits
