Montessori Guide for Primary Program Starting ASAP or Aug 31, 2026 in Haverhill, MA, US
Wisteria Montessori is a small non-profit Montessori preschool for children from 2.9 to 6 yrs old located along the River Walk in the heart of downtown Haverhill, MA. We are looking for a preschool teacher to join our team.
Experience as a Montessori guide is required. This position will start at 30 hours per week with room to grow!
Wisteria Montessori is part of the Wildflower Network of micro-schools promoting child, family, and community- centered learning. We honor diversity and seek to foster a multilingual environment (English, Chinese, Spanish).
Wisteria Montessori partners with families to provide children from all backgrounds access to high-quality Montessori education. We aim to foster independence, love of learning, care of the environment, respect for nature and harmony with oneself, with others, and with the natural environment.
In this role, you will:
● Serve as a Montessori guide to children in the classroom
● Set up and maintain the prepared environment
● Maintain student observations, records, and data
● Serve as an advocate for the needs of each child based on your observations
● Participate in regular professional development opportunities
● Work to actively incorporate anti-bias and anti-racist practices into the curriculum
● Communicate with families (meetings, newsletters, family education events)
Your Qualifications
● You must have EEC teacher or lead teacher qualification for preschool teaching.
● You must have or in the process of obtaining the Montessori Primary Certification upon hiring.
● You must respect children and support their natural development.
● You must have a collaborative spirit and be excited about developing a strong partnership with your co- teachers!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,000.00 – $62,000.00 per year
