The Montessori Learning Center (MLC) is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and nurturing Lead Teacher for our 3–6-year-old Early Childhood classroom. MLC has been serving children and families in Wilmington for over 40 years and is committed to fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning through authentic Montessori education.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Montessori classroom for children ages 3–6.
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized Montessori environment.
• Develop individualized learning plans that support each child’s growth.
• Foster independence, confidence, and respect within the classroom community.
• Maintain positive communication with families and staff.
• Observe, assess, and document student progress.

Qualifications

• Montessori Early Childhood (3–6) certification preferred.
• Experience working in a Montessori classroom.
• Delaware First Early Childhood qualifications preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for child-centered education and the Montessori philosophy.
