Morningside Montessori Elementary Private School was founded in 2017 and is the first Elementary in Cyprus to follow the Montessori Method. Morningside is currently a small school of 35 students (ages 6-12) that is in the process of expanding. The goal of the school is to operate in new premises in September 2023 that will allow the gradual expansion of our community.

School Location:
We are in the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia, and only 30 minutes away from the beautiful seaside shore. Cyprus is an island, member of the European Union and located in the Mediterranean Sea. Cyprus offers a relaxed lifestyle and one of the safest countries in the world to live and work in. Traveling distances are short, so unlike many other European countries and the weather is the sunniest in Europe, with over 340 days of sun annually. All employees have access to a full-coverage, public health care system with a very limited contribution from their gross salary (only 2.65%).

Job description:
We are looking for a reliable, loving, Montessori certified, Head of School OR an experienced Lead Teacher to take over as a Head. This position includes both operational and leadership duties, with a key focus on supporting, guiding, and training staff on Montessori pedagogy and curriculum. The Head of the School will be responsible for admission, registrations, and day-to-day operations of the school in compliance with all the internal regulations. The selected candidate will actively participate in community-building with staff, students, and families to promote a strong sense of belonging. The Head of School will work closely with the Campus Director who will be responsible to comply with the Ministry’s mandates, accreditations, and other regulations.

Required:
•       Montessori qualifications (6-12)
•       +3 years experience in Elementary level
•       Fluent English
•       Bachelor degree in Teaching or Education is considered a plus
