Early Childhood Lead Guide (3-6) in Orlando, Florida, US

Montessori World School is a well-established private school serving children ages 20 months to 14 years in the Southwest Orlando area for over 43 years.  We are seeking a Montessori credentialed Early Childhood lead guide to join our exceptional team beginning August 5th, 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

We are seeking a lead guide who is dedicated to open communication, honesty, mutual respect, who has a genuine love of young children and a desire to nurture the ‘joy of learning’ in each individual. Ideal candidates will possess both a firm understanding of holistic education and the practical ability to implement it in the classroom.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Developing a creative and engaging program using the Montessori Early Childhood curriculum while adhering to the Montessori philosophy
* Observing each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
* Encouraging students to interact with each other and resolve conflicts using Positive Discipline techniques
* Organizing nap, snack, lunch and incorporating these routines into the daily rhythm of the classroom
* Tracking children’s progress and report to parents using Transparent Classroom a Montessori based lesson planning, observation and communication tool (training provided)
* Communicating with parents regularly to understand the whole child
* Collaborating with other educators in the department and school wide
* Maintaining a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

The position is full-time, 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.
