May River Montessori School is located in the center of Bluffton, SC and welcomes children from 2 to 13 year old. To complete our team, we are seeking to hire a Montessori-trained assistant teacher for one of our Primary classrooms. The hours for teachers are Monday through Friday 8:00AM-3:00PM. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for the supervision & care of children and implementation of the Montessori curriculum in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and readying the classroom environment throughout the day
Treat all children with dignity and respect
Assist the Primary Lead Teacher in implementation and evaluation of Montessori curriculum
Work with other team members as needed
Maintain a professional attitude at all times
Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times
Clean and sanitize materials as needed per school policy
Observe, record, and report on the behavior of individual children as assigned.
