Primary Guide in Portland, Oregon

Child’s View Montessori School, located in beautiful Portland, Oregon has been serving the greater Portland community for nearly 34 years. Currently, we are seeking a guide for one of our Primary classrooms to begin this summer. We are looking for a confident, respectful role-model with a sense of humor, ingenuity, positive attitude and flexibility to boot. Now, more than ever, we know that our young children and their families need social and emotional support. We are looking for that special someone wanting to lead with empathy.

Qualified candidates must be trained by a MACTE accredited training institution and have a strong sense of the Montessori scope and sequence. This position is full time, year-round and offers a competitive benefits package consisting of health, dental and vision insurance, paid sick, personal, holiday and vacation time, paid professional development training as well as the little perks in life that help us along the way, like chocolate, coffee/tea and treats.

Ideal candidates will have experience leading a Montessori primary classroom; comfortable hiking in local woods and taking care of animals and gardens; as well as comfortable with daily observation and record keeping.
