Fox Valley Montessori Academy is seeking a caring, experienced, and passionate Montessori Kindergarten Teacher to join our vibrant learning community in Appleton, Wisconsin. About the Role:
The Kindergarten Teacher will guide and support students in a traditional Montessori mixed-age Casa/Primary classroom serving children ages 4–7. In this environment, the teacher fosters independence, curiosity, and confidence while supporting each child’s individual developmental path. Our Casa classroom is intentionally small, with a class size of approximately 8–15 students, allowing for meaningful relationships, more one-on-one guidance, and highly individualized learning experiences.

The role includes preparing and maintaining a thoughtfully organized Montessori environment, presenting materials across curriculum areas, and encouraging peer learning and leadership within the mixed-age community. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues and build strong, supportive relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities:
Guide and support children ages 5–6 in a Montessori classroom environment
Implement Montessori curriculum across language, mathematics, cultural studies, and practical life
Observe and assess student development and progress
Foster a calm, respectful classroom community
Communicate regularly and positively with families
Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership

Qualifications:
Montessori certification for Early Childhood/Primary preferred
Wisconsin State Teaching License (or ability to obtain one)
Experience working with Kindergarten-age children
Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and classroom practices
Warm, patient, and collaborative approach with children and colleagues
Excellent communication and organizational skills
