Primary Program Director/Guide

Full time, year round

The Primary Director is charged with the overall responsibility for the Primary program at Casa di Mir.  The Primary Director assumes responsibility for creating, sustaining and nurturing an engaging educational environment true to the philosophy of Maria Montessori.  The Primary Director oversees and supervises the teachers and assistants in the Primary program.  The Primary Director works as a guide in the classroom approximately 60% time, and attends to administrative duties approximately 40% time.

Lower Elementary Guide

Full time, Academic Year

The Elementary Guide creates an environment that is conducive to the growth and development of children in the realization of their fullest learning potential.   She or he is responsible for the generation and improvement of all school curricula in writing and the pedagogical growth and development of the school as well as the day-to-day teaching and functioning of his or her class.  The Guide prepares materials to meet the needs of the children, and operates in a manner in keeping with Montessori Method and concerns for educational excellence.
