Lead Middle School Teacher in Brevard, North Carolina, US

We are seeking a creative, exceptional educator with a pioneering spirit to serve as our lead middle school teacher for the 2024-25 school year and beyond.

This position will begin in the summer of 2024 and will be leading a multi-age classroom of 7th and 8th graders. The lead teacher should be interested in playing an integral role in growing Mountain Sun Community School’s middle school program. The curriculum is holistic and experiential; honors, attends to, and nurtures this age and stage of adolescence; and utilizes the natural environment and our community setting. Smaller class sizes allow for dynamic, project-based, and creative teaching. The lead teacher should have expertise in several of the primary middle school subject areas and be excited to lead multi-day excursions into outdoor and urban environments.
