Early Childhood Music Teacher, Part Time

Summit Montessori School seeks an experienced Music Teacher to lead music classes for toddler through kindergarten-aged students and to further develop our school music program. The ideal candidate will be an individual with experience leading young children’s choral activities, developing children’s music awareness and appreciation, and who understands the importance of integrating a diverse range of musical experiences into the learning lives of children.  They will have experience in successfully guiding children of ages 18 months through 6 years in finding joy in their music expression and musicality.

Candidates must hold the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and have experience teaching music to groups of early childhood students. Orff-Kodaly training is desirable, but not required. This part time position offers competitive pay and the opportunity for professional development.
Summit Montessori is 28-year-old school located on a wooded campus featuring an historic mansion as its main building. Summit currently enrolls 128 students, ages 18 months-12 years.  Summit is a welcoming community that values diversity of all kinds.
