Assistant Montessori Toddler Teacher in Framingham, Massachusetts, US

Summit Montessori School seeks an Assistant Toddler Teacher for a full-time position beginning January 2, 2024. The Toddler Assistant will support an experienced Lead Teacher in all aspects of organizing and facilitating a nurturing Montessori toddler environment in a new, state-of-the-art classroom which opened in September 2022.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a toddler or early childhood teacher or assistant teacher, and will be adept at supporting the classroom systems (environmental preparation, child observation, record keeping) that underlie the functioning of a successful Montessori toddler classroom.

Candidates must have some toddler or early childhood classroom experience, preferably but not necessarily in a Montessori classroom.   The ideal candidate will be highly motivated toward professional development, and able to work successfully and collaboratively in a team approach. This candidate will be energetic and able to meet the physical demands of working close to the ground with very young children.  Successful candidates will be expected to engage in in-house training in order to prepare for the role of an Assistant Montessori Toddler Teacher. The candidate will ideally have an EEC “teacher” credential or be actively working toward same.
